Susan is amazing. When tutoring was suggested to us, I was hesitant but within minutes of my daughter working with Susan, I knew that we found the right tutor. Susan connects well with kids, supports them and helps build confidence. Every time my daughter ends a tutoring session with Susan she is happier and says that the subject matter makes better sense to her. Before we starting working with Susan there were a lot of tears around math and homework in general, it was stressful for us as parents bc sometimes we did not grasp the subject matter but Susan is that perfect bridge from school to really understanding. Susan is flexible and understanding. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of support.

Why Families Are Referred Here

Susan Ardila, M.Ed., is a Certified Teacher and Educational Clinician with over a decade of experience supporting students with math learning differences, dyscalculia, ADHD, and executive functioning challenges.

She holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a concentration in Math Education and has advanced training in multisensory instruction and educational therapy. Her work bridges the gap between traditional tutoring and clinical-level academic support.

This is specialized support—intentionally designed for students who need more than homework help.

What I do

I provide specialized, research-informed academic support for students with complex learning needs — particularly those with math-based learning differences and executive functioning challenges.

My work goes beyond traditional tutoring. I help students understand how they learn, close foundational gaps, and build the skills and confidence they need to succeed academically and emotionally.

Multisensory Math Intervention

Research-based, visual, and hands-on math instruction designed to strengthen number sense, close conceptual gaps, and support students with dyscalculia or persistent math struggles.

Executive Function Coaching

Targeted, neurodiversity-affirming strategies to support planning, organization, working memory, task initiation, and follow-through — skills students need across all subjects.

Holistic Academic Support

Integrated support that bridges school demands and real-life skills, including study strategies, problem-solving, self-advocacy, and confidence-building.
