Before: Samantha*, a 5th-grade student at a private school, had struggled with learning challenges since kindergarten. As an English Language Learner (ELL), her early academic difficulties were initially attributed to language barriers. After receiving a dyslexia diagnosis and undergoing intensive Orton-Gillingham tutoring, her reading skills improved, but her math struggles persisted.
